MONSTER

MONSTER is designed as Moving Coil Solenoid Hybrid with transversal flux guidance. It is extremely scalable, allows for very large strokes and very high forces with high electric efficiency. Furthermore it features vanishing lateral forces. MONSTER has already been build and tested as proof of concept for an industrial client.

The outstanding performance of this drive is illustrated in the following plot of a simulation with the parameters: 60 kg total mass moved, movement and latching against a linear 20 kN restoring spring, current feed from a 100 mF/500 V-capacitor.
